log in problem continues


Eliah Kagan. where are you? as you said , i logged to recovery mode and changed the pass word successfully(?). yet i could not log in with the right user name and right password. what's happened?
please help me!

Perhaps you could log into "recovery mode" and add a new user with the "useradd" or "adduser" commands... Then you could at least log on normally, and from that account do things like reset passwords.
