Question loading ati drivers in fc2

I just loaded the drivers for my Radeon 9800xt successfully, however, I received a message saying that I would only have 2d until I went to ( /lib/modules.....fglrx....???) and performed some function. Can anyone please explain to me what this means and how to do this properly?
