Good evening y'all. I have an HP laptop with touchscreen monitor and have installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on it. Loving Cinnamon! I've noticed that I can touch tabs on Firefox to switch tabs, and also move the scrollbar on the right side of the screen. But, I can't put my finger on the middle of a page to get it to scroll up or down. Am I being a little too picky? Is there a different driver to make it behave like I was used to? Or a setting? Thanks!
I apologize for not responding sooner. I've decided to leave my system's configuration as is. As time has gone by, I've gotten used to how the touchscreen actually does work on Linux Mint Cinnamon. I am happy with and still ecstatic with performance of this OS.
It's great to hear that you're happy! I used to think that Gnome was best for touch screens, then last week I heard that KDE now worked well with them. Now you've told us that Cinnamon is fine, it seems that touch-screen users can be recommended just about any distro, which is good news.
