Linux kernel source error msg

I am trying to run Asterisk on my CentOS 4.4 from scratch.
I dont want to install X-windows GUI so I have to do everything from the command line.
When I tried to install a zaptel driver, with the command make install, I receive err msg:
You do not appear to have the sources for the 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL kernel installed.
make: *** [all] Error 1
I dont know how to resolve this?
I did yum update kernel kernel-devel.
What am I missing?

See: http://wiki.centos.org/I_need_the_Kernel_Source

Also see: http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/releas...ata/#sn-kernel
Look at the Following Generic Textbook information block.
