So I tried running a Backed Up copy of xp and It doesn’t run. So I ran SLAX on it and it worked so I was wondering if there’s any way of running that disk from slax or any other Linux utility thanks for the help.

You will need to make this a lot clearer..
"messing around with different Linux programs"---on the old laptop?
"Backed Up copy of xp and It doesn’t run"---Where was the backup? How did you try to run it?
"So I ran SLAX on it"---How? You installed SLAX--or ran from live CD?
"wondering if there’s any way of running that disk from slax"---what disk? The one in the laptop?
What is the end point you are trying to get to? eg do you want the laptop running in XP, Linux, etc.? Do you need to recover some data?
