Hello, i'm a final year student at my university and i am interested in doing linux project for my final year project.
Basically, i have experiences in doing slax live CD in malay language, setting up zabbix (network monitoring system), setting up redhat server and recently i am interested in building NAS. I am required to develop a project that has market value and still i am blur what should i do for my final project. It doesn't matter if somebody else has done it, but at least it is something that i can learn about.
Maybe you can tell us what you're studying so we can keep it inline. It's useless to suggest to write a piece of software while you're studying philosophy.

The above is very true, and you will also need to tell people the criteria you have to meet in order to get sane suggestions. Marketbale is one, yet fairly broad criteria (marketable to who etc.) you have to consider, maybe cost or intended user is another. Maybe these are questions and answers have to be part of your project.
In essence there is not enough provided info for people to make decent usable solutions.
