lilo windows xp debian dual boot


ok here is what i have done
1. i had 2 partitions on my hardrive one with windows xp home the other pro
2 i decided to install debian so i deleted the first partition and installed it
3 i used lilo as my boot manager
4 when i boot my machine i see 2 option 1 linux the other windows NT
when i select windows nt it just hangs is there anyway i can fix this

Chances are the NT OS Loader was in your first partition, which is now replaced by Debian.
Boot with winxp pro CD, and do a repair installation (not recovery console)
Then restore LILO afterwards
