ldd does not show the dependency library list

We built a library by linking it with a shared library Now, when I do ldd, it does not list When I run an application, I get a symbol missing from, which is actually defined in Even if I set path in LD_LIBRARY_PATH, the error does not go away.

Pleas help, what is wrong here.
