kubuntu question
does kubuntu support apt-get and sudo commands like its brother ubuntu and does it automaticaly install .deb files for u?

You can try dpkg but you'll get missing dependences if you haven't updated and upgraded apt-get in Konsole. Same is true with installing Kpackage which is the default installer for .deb files.

Only difference between Ubuntu and Kubuntu is the GUI. (Well...kinda) If you use Ubuntu and enter into a shell "apt-get install kubuntu-desktop", you'll get Kubuntu, splash screen and all.
Try and install aptitude, its faster, and as far as installers and management, I liked Gdebi installer, and default Synaptic when I used Kubuntu.
