Konsole stopped working

Hello Everyone,

My OS's Terminal/Konsole/Shell stopped working. For the first time I updated my mandriva 2008 last night. And, this morning after editing my configuration file, it started working in different manner. After committing the conf. file i passed 'ls' on it and the output was 'command not found'. The output was same for 'cd' and 'man' commands.

Now the situation is i' m not even able run console application. I tried rebooting.

Is there any way i can reset my Konsole ?

Hi, I to use konsole, to reinstall it you may need to uninstall it first.

uninstall...

rpm -e --nodeps konsole libkonsole

to install...

urpmi konsole

hope that helps

also you could check to see if any packages are missing...

Code:

rpm --rebuilddb && rpm -Va | grep miss

this may take a while to complete,

first it will rebuild the installed rpms database then it will give you a list of missing packages.
