Konqueror start screen

I keep getting the "Congratulations for choosing mandrake" screen everytime i start konqueror, i've tried to change this by using google as my homepage yet it STILL loads into the welcome page... is there a file that i need to edit so that it starts on a different page OTHER than "file:/usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html" ?

Hi Maverick1182,

Try this,

in Konquerer enter the address of the page you want to use as your start / homepage into the address bar and hit enter.
once the page has loaded fully, click "settings" on the menubar
chose: Save View Profile "webbrowsing" from the drop down menu
The Profile management box will open,
make sure the word "webbrowsing" is highlighted in the profile name box and click "save"

the next time you open Konquerer it will be at your previously chosen page.

I hope this is what you were looking for, good luck

Scott

well ..sorry then.. i thought it would be the same as mine... Here is an extract from the Konqueror faq " Start Konqueror with the "Web Browser" button, open the page that you want to be loaded in any new "Web Browser" window, and select "Save View Profile Web Browsing" in the Window menu. To have Konqueror start up with no page loaded (as it did in KDE 2.0), use "about:blank". "
