There is no mention of what distro you are using. If you are a standalone user then there should be no need for you to install any antivirus.

Klamav is a frontend for ClamAV - have you already installed this?. These should be available through Package Managers from Repositories and there should be no need to download tar files.

Did you not read the output at the end of configure?

That tells you it can't find needed X windows libraries to do the graphical install.

[rant]A server is no place for a graphical interface. Sorry, it just isn't. Clamav itself works fine just under the console. You don't need a garbage graphical wrapper to make your server more windows like. [/rant]

If you insist on installing unneeded programs in an enviornment that should be unsupported for them, you should do as Arochester suggested, and use your package manager to install klamav. Installing from source is great, hyper configureable/customizable, but if you can't make sense of the output it gives you, then use the built in installers for your distro.

Either install the X include files and configure again, or use the package manager.

Peace,
JimBass
