kgdb support for kernel 2.6.31

I am trying to include a timestamp for existing udp protocol.

For that I would have to find the kernel flow from boot up

I need kdb or kgdb for 2.6.31 version kernel to debug the kernel stack

please help me with some good links and steps to install kgdb or kdb
