Keyboard stop working in terminal

I have Ubuntu, Feisty Fawn, after updated software, my keyboard stopped working all together. After a few re-boots, keyboard starts working again. The weird thing is, when I go to use the Terminal, I can type first command then when I want to type my password, it just stop working. When I type in something, there's nothing displayed. Keyboard works fine in other programs, and mouse is working just fine. I try to search for any possible solution but can't find any. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

By the way, I am dual boot with WinXP, and keyboard works just fine in Win.

I had a similar problem last week and I found it to be a loose connection where my keyboard plugged into my desktop case.
