kde public file server question

kde public file server is part of the redhat 8.0 distribution. is it possible at all to use this for hosting a website behind a dynamic ip address using no-ip services or do i need something different. i have created a account with no-ip and downloaded and installed Dyn-Update Client.

there is just so much technical information out there with very little information for the newbies like me who don't know there ass from a hole in the ground. what would be suggested for a newbie for getting started. where did you guys start out when learning to do this. any links suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i am taking a N+ class right now and hopefully it will pay off for this kind of stuff in the future

You probably want to use Apache rather than the kde thingy. Most distros come with apache on the cds basically, just use that and config it using the provided redhat config tool. You can get a dynamic dns address if your ip changes frequently.
