k12linux and thin client cdrom issue

Hello,

I have successfully installed and am running a k12linux ltsp setup with 15 clients in a lab.

The clients are fat clients (regular full desktops)

The only issue I'm having is that when I put a cd into the cdrom of any of the clients, a cdrom icon shows up on the desktop for about a second and then disapears.

I tried going to places-->computer and opening the cd from there but it says there is not one detected.

Any ideas?
