Joypad to Control Mouse Getting

is it possible to get a joypad to control the mouse? just to use one of the analog sticks to control it, and a couple of buttons for the left/right click? Any information is appreciated.

NOTE: this is just playing around, so it's not a big deal if I can't get it to work.

There is a recent thread about using a gamepad to generate keyboard input (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-input-706963/). Not exactly what you want, but similar enough to make it worth looking at. So far it needs X11 development libs installed, as it seems.
