Exclamation Jaunty's Minimization/Maximization Isn't Smooth

All:

I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) yesterday night. I am running it in a lenovo y500.

I don't find the maximization of windows that cool (as it was in intrepid)! Though it is not that slow, I could see it struggling. I was wondering whether there is any way to get around this?

Cheers!

Don't know, have you tried installing the proprietary driver if you have an ATI or Nvidia graphics chip?
