did you tried that command/operations on the nas or from the computer? on the second case, it's normal as it's not correct, think the nas as a second linux box;
i don't have this nas, but http://<nas-ip> should point you to the nas admin interface (refer to your manual), from where you can install packages; for phpmyadmin, first you must share/access /usr/local/sohoWebContent (this is a directory on the nas, not your computer) then copy phpmyadmin and install it
