Sorry, but I believe Dolphin is multi-platform, including Linux? Are there problems with the Linux version?

And where are you stuck with Wine? The instructions in the README are simple, just run ./tools/wineinstall.

Is there a Wine package for your distro? Use that instead if there is one..

You don't have a C compiler installed. Does your distro offer one (GCC) as a package?
Does your distro offer Wine as a package? (Better)
Can you just compile Dolphin for Linux (Even better)
Does your distro offer Dolphin as a package? (Best)

No idea. I can't find much (any?) documentation on their site, or any ways of seeing what packages they offer. It appears that my suspicions of Linpus being garbage for more than basic stuff were right. Try using yum to search through their repos.

Nope, not the thickest person ever by a long shot Just please Google - if you do and still can't figure something out, that's fine, say so.

This should still be relevant to your distro: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/D...anagementGuide
And when in doubt, read the manual: man yum

How so? Have you used an Acer One? From the above statement it appears not! Why spread FUD about a product you've never tried?

@xpk3: Take a deep breath and slow down a little

Follow these instructions to prepare your Acer One:

Install software in the Linux version of Acer's Aspire one. If you have any questions or get stuck post a query in this thread.

Yes the first thing to do is search for dolphin or wine or anything else you want to install.

I'm all for helping you, but you have to at least try and help yourself first. Googling for answers is a good start

Anyways look in your menu system for wine, see if you have wine configurator in the list, run it to create a fake winblows environment.

Once that is done, download the Dolphin exe and single or double click it. Wine will automatically launch the setup.
