Is there a _netdev equivalent for autofs?

Hi,

I'm unable to find such an option, unless _netdev itself will also work as an option for an automounted dir. Basically, I'm getting a VCS controlled automount dir that will occasionally be empty, though its corresponding VCS controlled DiskGroup mount will be fine. Usually just umounting the automounted FS and then cd'ing into it will fix it, but looking for a more permanent solution. Any ideas on what can be added as on option? This is for SUSE 11. Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure _netdev and autofs are both mount options. _netdev checks that the network is available before mounting, and autofs mounts on demand. The rest of the OP is too disorganized and vague for me to make much out of it. Is this sles or opensuse?

This is SLES. Basically I have a mount that is controlled by VCS on a 2 node cluster. That mount is only present on which ever server the respective service group (SG4 in this case) is active. So if it's active on the A node, the automount that points to the VCS mount is accessible on the A node, but not the B node unless SG4 gets failed over to the B node. That's pretty much the best way I can describe it without pasting some examples, which I'm unable to do.

Anyway, appreciate the help. I wasn't sure since I had never seen the _netdev option get used in an autofs mounting table.
