Hello,
I am sorry for asking this i think, because the answer should be rather easy.
I CANT START UP IRSSI.
I dont know how.
i have searched!
Looked through the manual and nada nothing ziltch.

i found one thing:
in command line:
irssi -c ircserver -n nickname.
but that dont work.
i dont know what to do.. ....... .. ... .. .

What does it do? Does the irssi command work at all or does it say command not found? Give us a little move information on exactly what the output is.

try (most IRC servers dont allow connection if your client is running as root, so you have to run irssi as some user):
$ irssi
if irssi does not start chceck if it is installed propertly
else type into irssi window:
/server server
/nick blah
...

Tack alla.
Problemet var att installationen inte var tillräckllig.
make install!
jag läste att det inte behövdes, nånstans i install filen,
tänkte inte mer på det sen.. men.. det gick inte utan... vissel vissel..
