Hi
After some time away, I now have some time to spend continuing to figure out Linux...I have been able to set up a dual boot with win98 and Caldera openlinux, and today figured out how to get way better resolution [again] after checking NEC site...
anyway
question here is, after messing around with the kde setup wizard, I have the user desktop emulating windows, and the root desktop emulating MacOS, which may be nice, it's hard to tell because I now cannot get to buttons at the bottom of the dialog windows!!!! I can't change anything, or generally do anything from a regular size window!
In both the user and root kde, there is a bar [has three icons when moved regular Kstart bar out of the way] along the bottom of the screen, blocking the bottom of the windows, and in the root [mac-a-like], there is also a bar at the top...this may be useful, but until I can figure out how to see the bottoms of windows, and resize fullscreen windows...I feel so retarded...
The distro here is Caldera OpenLinux 2.3, and the monitor is an old NEC multisync XE15 [playing with monitor controls doesn't help].
