Intsalling aim on slackware


im trying to install aim on slackware, but im not having any luck

i have little linux experience, and installing programs is baffeling me, anyone care to clarify

i looked all over the aim website for answers and its only confusing me more

aim.com/get_aim/linux/latest_linux.adp#install

can anyone tell me what this means?

yea and i tried it but i dont know how to run it, i mean, im trying everything

iz it because im trying to run it as root? so i need a subsiderary login?

what exactly do you not know how to run? did you run the command like it said (as root)? what is the error you are getting?

i enter the installpkg command, nd it tellz me that itz crap

i get a bash:bad command kinda thing

then i tryed the intructions for "all other os's" and it unzipped it and did this...
