MOre progress!
USB icon at lower right now flashes and shows Huawei in bold for first time.
And Optus GUI/Tools/Select Device shows E169 (the wirelessmodem)
I think my better understanding of "Capture" process and switching in relation to Netconnection icon in host has had something to do with it.
But STILL, in Optusmodem GUI, click Connect- device is disconn.or unavail.
I wonder if my adapter setting as PcNet-Pc11(Am ******A)(numerals withheld by me) is correct.
