internet


Hi
i have installed Suse 9.1 and i have very slow internet connection and i dont know why,??

From your previous post (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=250458) it looks you have an HSF modem. Which driver have you installed? If it's free connexant version, it has speed limited to 30kbit/s (if I remember correctly). Full version costs money, unfortunately.

Well, not necessarily, you may find driver for your modem over the net. The thing is that, you have to put efforts and spend more time searching a driver giving you optimal speeds for your modem.

(I got my linux modem driver after 5 months of searching on the internet!)
