Hello everyone...could I have some advice please..
I use Yahoo Messenger all the time to talk overseas.and I have to use Windows to do it....
This morning I was in Yahoo mail and a friend was online ..so I did not think it would work and have been web surfing for a version of YM to use this in Linux...I just clicked on instant message and it worked ...I am amazed all the time with Linux...

Does anybody use a program in Linux that can do this...if before you used YM and are now converted ...I would be grateful to know of a similar program to Yahoo Messenger....

Your message wasn't quite clear, but there is Pidgin for not only Yahoo, but other IM services. If you want voice chat, there is Skype for Linux, available from Skype, and also Ekiga. I use Skype w/LM10, but it's not perfect because the video keeps flickering. Glad you are having such good results. Wish I was still on your side of the world.

I dont know if there's a Mint build, but I use HyachE Improved. includes webcam and voice support for Yahoo

Use Empathy or Pidgin , damn easy to set up your accounts .
Try googling about them .
