Question Installing Wine In Slackware 9.0

As you can tell by the subject I use Slackware 9.0 and am trying to get Wine to install or better yet let me play my game. I have tryed everything.

bash-2.05b# installpkg Wine-20031016-i686-S9.tgz
Installing package Wine-20031016-i686-S9...
Executing install script for Wine-20031016-i686-S9...

bash-2.05b# wine
wine: cannot open /root/.wine : No such file or directory

As you can you can see I'm having trouble installing it. Any help would be great.

It's normal!
After you install wine you need to configure it!!!
.wine is yr wine's root config file!!
Check at wine website for documentation and config examples...
