Installing PHP and MySQL w/ Apache web server
Could someone point me to a good tutorial on installing and configuring PHP and MySQL w/ Apache on RedHat 8.0. I am somewhat new to the Linux OS, so my knowledge right now is pretty basic.
Thanks for any help!
Peace

Just keep me some more information . If you install the RH 8.0 and if you choose the PHP and Mysql , I think there is nothing to configure. This is I belive and I do not know how far is this correct.
Any way keep in touch and feel free to ask any more.

Does Mandrake come with this auto-setup too? Thats exactly the reason why I wanted to use Linux. And what versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL does the auto-setup configure for you?

As of now, I do not have PHP or MySQL installed. I was looking for help in how to install them with Apache, not using the installations that come with RH 8. But I found something promising at devshed.com for setting up Apache web server with PHP, MySQL & SSL. I will keep you updated with any more questions.
Peace

May I ask why you do not want to use the RH packages? When you install them from the RedHat cds there is no configuring to be done. Just go to:
System Settings-->Packages
Select Apache, MySQL, and PHP packages and press UPDATE. It will then ask you for the appropriate cd(s). Once this is done you are ready to go!
