Installing onto and existing madam RAID5 array

I had mint installed a few years ago when I built a new server and put the OS on its own SSD, because its an SSD what could fail? Well, it did, so goodbye to my install.

So while reading http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=95928 and trying to get my Raid 5 and RAID 1 arrays working again a simple question question dawned on me...

Can I install Mint onto the array without disturbing the data and actually boot off an mdadm array?

If its possible I might need some help to get that done.
