Installing Joomla 1.5 in Webmin on Centos

Hello LQ,

I have been building Joomla website for years and I for the first time I have a client that I need to build a website for that already has an IT company hosting his sites using Webmin. To be honest i no nothing about Webmin. All I am trying to figure out or dicsover is how to or where to go in Webmin to install Joomla 1.5. I know that the Webmin they are using is on Centos. Any ideas or someone that can point me in the right direction. Webmin is kind of confusing to me and this is the first time I have ever encountered it. I have searched and search and search and have had no luck finding tutorials, directions or anything that would help me. Thank you for making this Linux community.

Kindest Regards,
MG7

In the column on the left, under Others, do you have an option for SSH/Telnet and if so, does it launch? You can then use your default commands to install Joomla or whatever else you want for that matter, providing your logging as root or can sudo.

Or, use the Software Package installer under System/Software Packages.

You may want to look at the Joomla forums, there are several threads involving Webmin, this one in particular:
