if you are building and NOT using zypper
--- for OpenSUSE 12.3 - from obs://build.opensuse.org/devel:gcc
Code:
su -
zypper in gcc48 cc48-c++
---- and if needed -----
zypper in gcc48-fortran gcc48-objc gcc48-obj-c++ gcc48-ada
you need to build c++ as well as gcc if you are using c++11
