Installing extensions in fedora16 was fine. But after installing Fedora17 nothing works...On turning "ON" no download pops up
tried with both chrome and firefox
Any help
thanks
Extensions are probably not up to date with the gnome-shell version... Either wait a few days/weeks or reinstall Fedora 16. I would suggest you to wait until extensions are up to date!
One of my friends installed the same fedora and he did not had any problems in installation
So i dont think it is because the extensions are not up to date...
Do i need to have any firefox plugin or something like that to install?
while trying to install manually it returns error
while using make or make install -zip
Makefile:485: *** missing separator. Stop.
so i cannot install that way
tried re installing firefox as well but did not help
Have you done any modifications to gnome? If you have, you could try setting it to default with the following command (NOTE: this will erase all of your personal settings). Press Alt + F2 ant type:
There is a big chance this will not work but it's worth of trying.
After you do this, log out and log back in... Now go to extensions.gnome.org and try few of those extensions
while trying to install manually it returns error
while using make or make install -zip
Makefile:485: *** missing separator. Stop.
so i cannot install that way
According to this you didn't configure the makefile correctly...
I'm not sure where, but I've already seen those kind of errors, and I believe that it had something to do with the 'unzip' package... Try to install it (unzip) and see if it helps.
