installing drivers using linux dd

when i boot from the fedora 4 dvd image, and i type at the prompt

linux dd

it goes into the install and asks me to place a driver disk into /dev/hda...but there's no way i can do that since there's nothing at /dev/hda. is there any way i can make it read from another device?
