installing bin files

I recently download hlds_l_3111_full.bin to install half-life dedicated server.
When I double click the file in KDE desktop, it responds doing nothing.
I researched online and it told me to issue the command

"sh hlds_l_3111_full.bin"

it reported and error saying

"cannot execute binary file"

Summing it all up, i basically just need to know how to install the bin files... thanks

First, make it executable

chmod 755 /path/to/sh hlds_l_3111_full.bin

Then run

/path/to/sh hlds_l_3111_full.bin
