Installing a Zip Drive on Madrake Linux 9.1

I'm trying to Install a Parallel Port Zip Drive onto Linux Mandrake. I've attached the Drive to the Port and Started powered up the Box.

I expected Something to happen,Maybe I've been with Windows to Long, I went to the hardware section of the Madrake Control Center but could not see my new drive.

Is there something else I need to do before Linux is able to see this drive.

Hope someone cal help.

Flossie

Setting up the Zip Drive is also on my "To Do" list, but check this out:

http://tldp.org/HOWTO/ZIP-Drive.html

Windows is also unaware of the parallel port Zip Drive without proper drivers.

Let me know how it works out.
