Installed new fonts, now some are ugly

So after reading a suggestion to someone else to install Bitstream fonts, I decided to give it a whirl... actually, after finding the Bitstream fonts on kde-look.org, I found these things called Hunky Fonts as well, which were in the top downloaded and top rated fonts. So I installed them instead of the Bitstream fonts.

After installing the Hunky Fonts, some of my fonts (like all of the text on linuxquestions.org, for example) aren't anti-aliased and just don't look nearly as nice as they used to.

So I went into Control Centre, and sure enough font anti-aliasing is on. So I switched the Hunky Fonts back over to some nice Vera fonts. In my fonts tab of control centre, everything looks smooth and anti-aliased... yet when I surf certain pages (like LQ), I get the jagged stuff.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Josh

Well I told Firefox to just always use my fonts and now everything looks nice again. So I take it this means LQ is using a font that I don't have? Seems weird that it worked before I installed the Hunky Fonts though. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
