Installation hangs at "Finding Module Dependencies" on several distros
I have been trying to install Linux on my ASUS A7N266VM motherboard and haven't been having much luck. The thing is, I know that I have installed on it before with my Red Hat and Mandrake disks. With Mandrake everything wen't fine except I had to load the on board LAN drivers from Nvidia. Red Hat was much more complicated but I have all the notes on the changes I had to make after installation. However now when I install Red Hat 8.2, Mandrake 9.0, 9.2, or Debian they all hang at: "Finding module dependencies." Red Hat even hangs there with the boot disk.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I am setting up an experimental server to learn the ins and outs of Apache, MySQL, PHP, Samba, and other services in order to setup a Linux server for a client rather than a Windows box.
