Thanks for replay,
1. I have ubuntu version 8.xx. I think it does not have graphical part. How can I install it via terminals.
2. In fact, to get run this driver, I recompiled a new version of kernel x.38 in which I wasted my three days without any outcome.
2. Then I learnt from internet that, I should compile the driver. But I could not do it because, I did not find any guide to it.
Do you have a particular reason why you're running version 8 of Ubuntu? This year is the end of the LTS for that version, so I'd advice you to migrate to the latest LTS (10.04 if I'm right). That being said, why do you need to install the NVidia driver on a non-graphical machine? What problems are you having? As far as I know the graphics driver only has advantages when running a graphical environment.
In fact, we have a server machine which is in LAMP Server in Debian, which is compatible for version 8. ubuntu thats why I
kept it. In fact, I am not linux user, once I tried to compile new kernel 10.10 and install it in 10.10 it was working however, when I install it in version 8 it was generating error. Then, I heared that I should compile a new driver not kernel.
If I upgrade my ubuntu to new version, how can I communicate with the LAMP server which displays webpages in client machine. I mean
As you turn on the client machine it takes php page from LAMP Server automatically and display it into client.
