Question Install NS-2.28 under Fedora 10 happen "Ns make failed"

Hi all,
I want to install NS2.28 under Fedora 10,using GCC3.4.2(and GCC3.2),occured the follow problem:

`.gnu.linkonce.t._ZN11taskPending10taskStatusEh' referenced in section `.rodata' of wpan/p802_15_4mac.o: defined in discarded section `.gnu.linkonce.t._ZN11taskPending10taskStatusEh' of wpan/p802_15_4mac.o
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [ns] 错误 1
Ns make failed!

I also used some other higher version GCC to compile NS-2.28,but there were some other problems.
Who could help me to resolve the above problem, Thanks a lot!

the very first thing you need to do is install the current version of fedora ( fedora 14)

fedora 10 has been UNSUPPORTED for a year now .
There is NO NEW software for fedora 10 .
No new software will run/install on fedora 10 ( some might ?? maybe ?? )
No new software will EVER be backported for fedora 10
Fedora 10 is DEAD, it died a year ago !

also WHY are you using the very old legacy "GCC3.4.2" ( compact-gcc rpm ) on fedora 10 - fedora 10 SHIPPED with gcc 4.1 or 4.3 INSTALLED

do your self and the rest of the net a very BIG SECURITY favor and use a SUPPORTED version of the OS
Fedora 14 is the current!

First of all, thanks for John VV's relpy.
I know the latest version of Fedora is 14, I still use the 10th is for the sake of Fedora 10 is enough, I just need a linux platform to run NS-2.
It will occur some compatibale problems when using the higher version of GCC, so I try the lower versions.
Now the problem looks like a link related, so is there some solutions for THIS problem ?
Thanks.

? link related ? like maybe the fact that most of the repos are dead ( yum dose not work)
there is the historical archive .It has all the rpms that were released up until EOL

a look on the fedora docs/forum
"Repository configuration for older Fedora releases."
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=221471
to quote the WARNING
Quote:
Note: The Fedora releases here, Fedora Core 1 through Fedora 9, are no longer supported or maintained, so they do not receive bug fixes or security updates. We do not recommend using these releases any more. To obtain the latest, supported version of Fedora, please refer to the main download page, http://get.fedoraproject.org.

For more information about Fedora's support cycle see the life cycle page, http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LifeCycle.
note you will have to hack the repo text file for fedora 10

I have used some other version of GCC and modified some codes of the NS-2.28 to install it successfully.
Thanks for Jonh VV's advice! Thanks again.
