install debian from iso dvd imagefile


hi

I downloaded Debian etch image file from internet. since i don't have a DVD drive in my laptop how can i install using the image file????
i have installed ubuntu 8.04 now can anyone help me to switch to Debian????

Download the netinstall .iso CD file for your platform, burn a image then install it.

Edit: Welcome to LQ,

I didn't see that this was your first post, as for your question. You don't need to use the DVD .iso image file, the cd .iso netinstall works just fine, (unless you don't have fast internet that is.)
