Hi, welcome to LQ!

Interesting ... are you trying to cross-compile a kernel under cygwin,
or what is the purpose oft that exercise?

Cheers,
Tink

The purpose of the exercise is to port linux over my ARM9 chip. I have already built the
the cross-compiler using cygwin. I am debugging the kernel now. I got stuck in prepare_namespace().
I believe that I do not have the proper ramdisk installed.

I am sure that the mkinitrd can be done in cygwin to generate the initrd.

If you can help I would appreciate a lot.
Neil
