INIT: Id "x" respawing too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
How will get rid of it? It so bothers!

Have you connected any modem or is the system trying to dial out ?
This may happen if the system is tryin to dial out and is not able to ..

Also does your inittab file has any new entry.

i.e Entry which respawns too frequent

Then you`ll have to comment it out in init source init.c and compile again

So L_SY will log to syslog[the next line] but the message will not come on screen.
