Immediate loss of internet after boot up-ubuntu 11.04

Hello all
I am a new linux user. I installed Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, today on my laptop within my windows 7 using Wubi. I initially had problems in connecting with the internet and tried to resolve it as instructed here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...ernet%20access

Right now, I seem to have internet access for a few seconds after my linux boot up. But after that, I automatically lose connection.
I am not able to get wired internet connection as well.
I have no idea what is going around.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
