i need some help on this one

ya i just started to get interested in linux and i wanna pu a new OS on my comp, and possibly later get a dual boot thingy going on my comp, but for right now i just wanna get linux set up

the problem is i dont know which one i want to use, but this seems to be my choice so far

knoppix, ive been hearing good things about this

i was semi-familiar with dos (back in the day, i was like 6, i dont remmeber much anymore)

but ya what do you guys think is or was the easiest system, or at least is my choice a good one, remember i dont realy care about the comp, i already got a good one, this is like a test or hobby, and i dont have to worry about saved files, i already cleared my hard drive

aslo, do any of you know where i could find basic commands and source for it
