i installed xp at first then ubuntu.but lost ubuntu9.0 when i reinstalled windowsxp.

hello ,
i installed windows xp at first and then ubuntu 9.04. After some days i re installed windows xp.and i lost my boot loader . i cannot access ubuntu.
i am a new user in linux.so can any one help me with easy or step by step solution.

Steps to recover dual-boot mbr if windows trashes it:
1) boot the system into "rescue mode" with the linux cd/dvd
2) chroot /mnt/sysimage
3) grub-install /dev/hda (or whatever drive your linux boot partition should be)
