I can't get my DVD writer to operate as a Ram Drive using Ubuntu 8.04.

This DVD writer works fine operating under Windows XP. I contacted the Manufacturer (Philips) with no success in solving the condition. Any Suggestions?

What dvd burning software are you using?? Make sure you have all dvd components installed. I don't remember them exactly, but for example, to burn a cd, it is necessary to have "cdrao".

See ya!
