hp probook 4720s Fans running constantly at full


i hv a hp probook 4720s with built in amd graphics card. after installation of ubuntu 12.04 fan is constantly running and it's really becoming very hot. temperature is around 70. pls help.

Hi, does your PC have one integrated and one dedicated GPU? If yes, disable the dedicated gpu using vga_switcheroo.
Otherwise use power profiles. All this supposes that you are using the opensource radeon driver.
Also check if something is using the CPU, the htop command could help you there.
