How to stop Email address from being expanded

I run a solitary computer with Suse 10.0. I often receive complaints from various correspondents that the mail they send to me gets returned sometimes as undeliverable. At first I thought it was just a quirk but recently a returned piece of mail had some serious consequences and decided to look into it more sseriouosly. It would appear that my email address 24mm@eircom.net sometimes gets expanded to include mathay@localhost-or something like that.
How do I correct this?
These are the error Msg. that the Sender (in this case oblinn) receives with the returned mail:

This is the Postfix program at host linux.site.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster>

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

Thanks Foo,
I've uninstalled the Postfix program and hope that will do the trick.
