How to stop Email address from being expanded

I run a solitary computer with Suse 10.0. I often receive complaints from various correspondents that the mail they send to me gets returned sometimes as undeliverable. At first I thought it was just a quirk but recently a returned piece of mail had some serious consequences and decided to look into it more sseriouosly. It would appear that my email address sometimes gets expanded to include mathay@localhost-or something like that.
How do I correct this?
These are the error Msg. that the Sender (in this case oblinn) receives with the returned mail:

Thanks Foo,
I've uninstalled the Postfix program and hope that will do the trick.
