How to start Xscreensaver as a root user?


How to start screensaver as a root user?

I have run the 'xhost + localhost' command and restart the deamon,

but it didn't work~

is there someone could help me ~~?

here is some information of my computer:
Distribution : Debian
Xwindows : Gnome 2.6

I'm not sure exaclty what you want to do but the command sudo is usually used to run programs with root priviledges.

try "man sudo" and "man sudoers"
